Ali Grace Marquart - Partner


Ali Grace Marquart, a founding partner of Marquart & Small LLP, is an accomplished transactional lawyer focused on advising companies and individuals in the fashion, film, television, fitness, publishing and media industries. She has special expertise in developing and optimizing brand recognition, including structuring and negotiating licensing, endorsement, spokesperson, representation, and performer agreements for individual talent and advising clients on intellectual property and right of privacy/publicity matters.

Ali previously served as the Director of Business and Legal Affairs for Wilhelmina Models, one of the most influential model management companies in the world. In that role, she managed all legal matters for Wilhelmina, ranging from immigration to intellectual property issues.

Ali is also an adjunct professor at the Fashion Law Institute at Fordham Law School, for which she created and teaches the first-ever course on Fashion Modeling Law. She has written and lectured on an array of issues affecting the fashion and entertainment industries and is an Honoree of Forbes Magazine’s 30 Under 30 list.

She received her JD from UC Hastings College of the Law, where she was an editor for the Hastings Law Journal, and her BA magna cum laude, with Honors in Psychology, from the University of Southern California, where she was a Renaissance Scholar. While at USC, Ali had the privilege of working for some of the most prestigious entertainment companies in the world, including HBO, New Line Cinema, and ICM.

Ali is admitted to practice in New York and is a member of the Fashion Law Committee of the New York State Bar Association’s Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Section.
